These Terms and Conditions regulate the use of GoCarCroatia.com and our car rental services in Croatia. By booking a vehicle with us, you agree to the following rules and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

1. General Terms

  • GoCarCroatia provides rental cars in Croatia directly and through local partners.
  • All bookings are subject to vehicle availability at the requested date and location.
  • The minimum rental period is 1 day (24 hours).
  • Rental extensions are subject to approval and availability.

2. Driver Requirements

  • The minimum driver age is 21 years.
  • A valid driving license held for at least 1 year is required.
  • International Driving Permit may be required for non-EU licenses.
  • The renter must present a valid passport or ID card when picking up the vehicle.

3. Booking & Payment

  • No deposit and no credit card are required for booking unless specifically stated.
  • Payment can be made in cash, debit card, or other accepted methods at pickup.
  • All prices include basic insurance, taxes, and unlimited mileage unless stated otherwise.

4. Insurance & Coverage

  • Basic insurance (CDW) is included in the rental price.
  • Optional full coverage can be purchased at the time of booking or vehicle pickup.
  • Insurance does not cover damage to tires, windows, keys, or interior unless full coverage is purchased.

5. Vehicle Use

  • The rented vehicle must not be used for illegal purposes, racing, towing, or driving off-road.
  • Smoking inside the vehicle is prohibited.
  • The renter is responsible for any traffic violations or fines during the rental period.
  • Traveling outside Croatia requires prior approval from GoCarCroatia.

6. Fuel Policy

  • Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank.
  • If the vehicle is not returned full, refueling charges may apply.

7. Cancellation Policy

  • Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before pickup.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before pickup may incur charges.
  • No-shows without notice will be charged the first day of rental.

8. Liability

  • GoCarCroatia is not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control (force majeure).
  • The renter is responsible for any damage not covered by insurance.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
